When I moved to Canberra from Brisbane in early 2010, I wasn't sure what to expect. Then all of a sudden, this city came alive with colour. My dear friend reminded me of this today with a passing comment so I was inspired to capture our 'Pink Tree'.

We were house shopping about this time last year when my daughter cried "Look mummy, that tree is PINK!! Can we live in this street?" So we bought the house, and now live in the street with the Pink tree and everyday she checks to see if its 'more pinkerer'.

We would never have had that in Brisbane where the beautiful trees are mostly evergreen. Thanks Canberra!

Oh, and the purple flower is from my garden.....we could never grow flowers in Brisbane but I think thats more to do with my un-green thumb than the climate ;)
